I got this 2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio on the cheap. She’s in player’s condition which I can appreciate.
She has mismatched tuners so I got a set of new Kluson Deluxe tuners. I had problem with the bushing into the slightly bigger holes on the headstock. So I used scotch tapes to make them bigger to have the perfect fit.
Her burstbucker pro pickups are close to the PAF sound. They make me like her.
However, I also discovered that my $70 Epiphone Les Paul Standard’s tesla pickups are very close to the burstbucker pro sound, just a little hotter. So the epi looks like a good keep.
And this studio is more than capable to replace my deluxe pro as the main gibson in my household.
