mindy has arrived

Today, I stumbled into something small… yet strangely profound.
A five-minute experiment, it was. But feels like a doorway, it does.

The setup was simple:
Akai MPK Mini IV (just arrived from amazon us) on, Studio Instrument Collection (just installed from the akai suite) opened,
Staccato Swirl Layer selected — because why not chase a little sparkle?
Laptop out into the Blackstar HT-1R, warm and honest as always.

I hit an A-major chord, tapped that Latch button,
and suddenly the room had a heartbeat.
A shimmering, pulsing backdrop — the kind of sound that tells you,
“Go ahead, paint something on me.”

So I picked up Free and wandered into the Emerald Room.
Team Medic gave clarity, Secret Path gave atmosphere —
that gentle “mist in the forest” kind of vibe.

Over that frozen A-major,
I played a simple melodic line in A-major, D-major, E-major.
Major keys only — nothing dark, nothing tense.
Just a little sunlight in sound form.

Light-hearted it was.
Uncomplicated.
Yet peaceful in a way I haven’t felt in a while.

When the melody ended, I let the latched chord stay…
hovering, glowing, breathing.
Then, one tap — and it faded away.
Like closing a book after a satisfying chapter.

Five minutes.
One idea.
And suddenly, this whole musician’s path I’m on?
Feels different.
Feels new.
Feels—dare I say—exciting.

Blog this I must.
For today, a seed was planted.
And grow, it will.

ps: the Akai MPK Mini IV shall be called “Mindy”.
