plucked from obscurity

Salvation Army put this bass up for sale at 169. I offered the price after some consideration. A few days later, the guy told me that the bass was not working. So I offered $50 to take it anyway. Upon collection, I had to top up GST 3.50 which he should have told me about.

I discovered back home that the output jack was loose but the pickups were fine. Due to my stupidity, I broke the output jack and I also accidentally pulled out some wires from the circuit. 2 days later, I got a new output jack.

With the soldering kit I bought from Lazada ages ago, I began my first guitar repair work. It was a success. I fixed the loose wiring, installed the new output jack and put on a set of new strings. The clean-up guitar was up and playing again.

A warm welcome to the 1991 Squier Jazz Bass made-in-Korea by Samick!
