It’s Fender. They made the Fender CP-60S, the very affordable parlor guitar that reignites my love for acoustic guitars. Then, I got the small-bodied Martin DJR-10 that booms well with her full-solids. And now I’m yearning to try the different cheaper parlors and small bodies. It’s all because of Fender.
I’ve tried a Sigma parlor which sounded close to the Fender. I’ve tried the PRS SE P20 which is finely-crafted but sounded thinner than the Fender. I’ve tried the Fender Sonoran Mini with the cool racing stripe and she sounded very good. I’ve tried the Fender Redondo Mini that was a little underwhelming. I want to try the parlors or small bodies of Cort and other brands like Seagull.
I believe parlors and small bodies are perfect instruments for beginners. Even more proficient players will find them good-sounding, good-looking and easy to handle. And they are very affordable.
My mindset about acoustics has changed drastically the last one month and it’s all because of Fender.
