So yesterday, I finally bought my first ever brand new pedal. This is the MXR® X Third Man Hardware Double Down™ Pedal. Third Man Hardware comes from Third Man Records which is owned by Jack White and his partners.
It is not an overstatement to say that I like Jack White’s guitar riffs a lot. This pedal is something he works with and I like the concept behind it. Plug my guitar into the double down that runs into two separate amplifiers. The immediate outcome is a ‘stereo’ effect and this alone can satisfy the guitarist in me. Add the ability to run two signal chains with different effects and the whole music experience becomes highly exciting.
With a new tube amp coming to work with my mini amps, I cannot wait to see how this pedal is going to enhance my creative space. This pedal, potentially, is a game changer for me, an amateur guitarist.
