never thought i would but it’s so cool…

I just got this Line 6 M5 Stompbox Modeler, an almost all-in-one effects pedal that I never thought I would want to use. But after developing the need to use a variety of effects, I realise that a pedal that contains multiple effects is most convenient. I first learned about the M9 and how many pros still use them today despite the fierce competitions from the helix series, the eventides, the strymons, etc. Then, I saw and heard about this smaller version, the M5. The biggest selling point of the M series is their price point. They are way cheaper than the others, especially in the used markets.

So far, after a few days of doodling, it’s been fun and super useful when combined with the other essential pedals that I still need to keep.

The micro amp (with 2 outputs) in the mxr is a fantastic boost for my signal chain. The Jack White bumble buzz is uncopiable. The budget crayon still delivers that raw driven sounds that I like a lot. The pros are using the ge-7 and I concur how powerful it is. The hof has a wide range of reverbs that complements well with the ones from the M5. Besides, it has that sigur ros sound. The donner boost killer pushes the clean sound well into dirt zone, and she cost only 10 bucks. The freeze speaks for itself; none can do its job. The M5 can’t loop so the lekato stays.
