first guitars delivered

Swee Lee had huge discounts for their Gibsons and Epiphones end of July. I was late but still managed to secure this 2018 Gibson Les Paul Classic and the 2015 Epiphone Casino Hollowbody at almost 40% discounts. I missed out on the Epiphone Kat ES though.

Both were display sets delivered 2 days after my orders. Swee Lee did a pretty good job packing both which were not tuned up properly before delivery.

First impressions: the Casino looks and feels great, and her body looks fine at first glance. I could see some sloppy finishing along the edges of the f-hole. Her pickups sound fantastic. She came with a sticker, a poster and an Allen key. The Les Paul, on the other hand, came with finger marks all over her glossy ebony surface. Her tailpiece has two questionable spots which I had written to Swee Lee about. She looks close to the Deluxe Pro that I just sold and she weighs almost like the latter too (heavy). Her P90s sound superb though I can’t remember if the P90s on the Deluxe Pro sounded so good too. She came in a pretty brown Gibson hardcase with all the nice candies.

May sell both for profits or keep them by selling others. Reviews for both will come later.
