the floating pickup

So I bought my first floating pickup in this Kent Armstrong jazz pickup that is supposed to be PAF-like. I didn’t know how I would use it until I watched some online videos. It is typically installed on hollow body jazz boxes. So I checked out what’s on Carousell, and managed to find an Ibanez AF71F that would cost less than 500. The KA pup can replace the Ibanez floating pickup. The guitar looks pretty. However, I decided to try installing the KA pup on my ultra budget Epiphone Les Paul 100 (with a cracked neck) because the stake is extremely low. Sure, I had to remove the stock Epiphone neck pickup. Sure, the body won’t look too good with the exposed cavity. But, I’m quite happy that I could put the KA pup on the LP100. Together with the hot DM bridge pickup, the guitar is more than capable to rock and roll. I like the clean sounds too. With this mod, she’s probably staying with me. I suspect no one will be too keen to get a modded LP with neck crack and dings.
