types of guitars

Here’s an organised way of rationalising my collection of guitars:

Les Paul – I can have a few of my favourite type of guitar. And it seems I’m quite well-stocked here.

  1. 1996 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection ’56 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue (Keep)
  2. 2020 Epiphone Jared James Nichols “Gold Glory” Les Paul Custom (Keep)
  3. 2011 LTD EC-1000 Deluxe (KIV)
  4. Other Les Pauls (Looking out)

Stratocaster – The Custom Shop hasn’t satisfied me ‘cos I’m after an Eric Clapton. I could collect a cheap American strat or a vintage Strat + a Squier or G&L strat.

  1. 2022 Fender Empire 67 Stratocaster Relic (Sell)
  2. Fender Artist Eric Clapton Stratocaster (Looking out)
  3. Fender American Stratocaster (Looking out)
  4. Fender Vintage Stratocaster (Looking out)
  5. Squier Stratocaster (Looking out)
  6. G&L Stratocaster (Looking out)

Telecaster – The Esquire is a good keep. I could collect a cheap American tele or a Silent Siren tele + a Squier tele

  1. 2020 Fender 70th Anniversary Esquire (KIV)
  2. Fender Silent Siren Telecaster (Looking out)
  3. Fender American Telecaster (Looking out)
  4. Squier Telecaster (Looking out)

Bass – The Mexican pbass is the keep unless a cheap American one comes along.

  1. 1977 Fender Precision Bass (Sell)
  2. 2022 Sire Marcus Miller V7 (Sell)
  3. 2022 Fender Player Precision Bass Special Edition (Keep)
  4. Fender American Precision Bass (Looking out)

Acoustic

  1. Gretsch G9200 Boxcar Resonator (Sell)
  2. 2022 Fender CP-60S Parlor (Sell)
  3. Larrivée Acoustic (Looking out)

Others

  1. 2022 Squier FSR Classic Vibe 60s Jaguar (Sell)
  2. Suhr Superstrat (Looking out)
  3. Reverend Billy Corgan 1 (Looking out)
