a joyful reflection

Last evening, I spent 10 quiet minutes with Joy, my Fender Japan Stratocaster, running through Green Movement. A light slapback delay from the GFI Orca set the tone—just enough to evoke space without drowning the intimacy. I began clean, then introduced the Broadcast-AP for some tasteful drive. With Joy’s tone knob rolled halfway, the sound turned sweetly rounded, singing with clarity and warmth. Looped on Sketch (via RC-10R), the progression in 4/4 time flowed like a gentle memory:
C - G/B - Am7 - G | F - Am7/E - D - G
C - G/B - Am7 - G | F - [Am7/E - G - C] (half bar)
with that final bar completed in just half a measure, a satisfying resolution that tugged the loop back around like a fond recollection. Over this, my fingers wandered in the C major scale, crafting a gentle melody that felt like a quiet conversation with my younger self. The whole moment shimmered with gratitude. Sometimes, 10 minutes is all you need to remember who you are.
