Yesterday, I took my Fender American Standard Telecaster and the Gibson Les Paul Special Tribute DC to trade for a 2018 Ernie Ball Music Man Cutlass SSS, a highly regarded guitar often touted by many better than the Fender Stratocaster.
She has so many things going for her: locking tuners, stable trem system and headstock, rounded fretboard, stainless steel frets, nice body contour and weight, lovely voices in the 3 single-coils, hum cancelling circuit and a huge solid original hard shell case. She’s an excellent modern player guitar.
However, I may or may not keep her. I still like Fender and Gibson cos of their strong heritage and long legacies. Of course, EBMM has their roots in Leo Fender. I will enjoy her as much as I can until I decide to let her go.
