evening notes with faith

This evening, Faith sang again.

I plugged her into Green Movement, adding Sketch, my newest chain, to the route. The setup was simple, but not plain:

  • Blackstar HT-1R MkII giving her voice,
  • Broadcast-AP shaping her tone,
  • GFI System Orca casting ambient echoes,
  • and the RC-10R laying down a gentle 8-beat soft rock rhythm at 80bpm, in loop.

The plucked chord loop was Am – Dm – Am – E. I let it run gently in time, allowing the reverb trails to swim behind the beat like soft waves. Melody lines flowed in A minor, up and down the neck, always returning home to the warmth of the neck pickup.

It wasn’t performance. It wasn’t practice.
It was prayer.

In the quiet of the evening, this simple loop was enough. The texture. The motion. The melancholy beauty of minor chords. For a few minutes, the world fell away, and Faith and I were alone in sound.

I didn’t need more.
I just needed this.
