set the tone

The above-mentioned is not cast in stone. In fact, it’s been changing a couple of times the last few weeks. I have the Fender and Vox tones, so I wanted the Marshall tone too. So after much deliberation, I got the Wampler Plexi Drive Deluxe, the Marshall-amp-in-a-box. I still have the desire to get the BOSS Blues Driver BD-2 for that vintage tone. But the Plexi is fun to play with thanks to the wide variations it can provide.

So now I’m using the GE-7 as the clean or treble boost. The Boost Killer has gone to Signal Chain 2 where it will provide the boost or crunch for the VOX tone if I don’t crank up the MV50. If the MV50 is sold, the Orange Crush Mini will be the amp with the cab. Right now, the cab is the Blackstar until it’s sold. Then, the Orange cab will come in to free up some physical space.

I’ve taken the M5 out of the signal chain. It’s on sale though I know its usefulness.

“Set The Tone” incidentally is the name of a song by Aespa, my fav kpop group. They celebrated their 4th anniversary yesterday.
