Yes, I actually acquired a 2015 James Tyler Classic. And I actually traded my Gibson Les Paul Traditional (which I adored) and PRS CE24 for this high-end James Tyler. In financial terms, I got myself a bargain to land the James Tyler. As a guitarist, this is like a dream. I never thought I would want a James Tyler. I could not like the headstock at first, but now, I think the headstock makes it a unique instrument.
She is easily the best instrument I have played even though I’m not a fan of the stratocaster. She is smooth and she sounds wonderful. The Les Paul’s PAF sound in the burstbucker is still the tone I love most but the JT’s sound is just as charming. Its maple neck and maple fretboard make her very special indeed. The bonus is that killer look of the original hard case from G&G.
James Tyler guitars are far and few between. That could make them valuable in the long run.
Yet, I still have that itch for a Tom Anderson.
